UK Sales Manager
Key role: To maximise sales at optimum profit through the UK book trade and non-traditional markets
- To sustain and develop relationships with UK customers through visits, book fair meetings and regular correspondence.
- To monitor daily sales and ensure achievement of monthly sales targets.
- To provide a primary point of contact for sales reps, corresponding regularly with them, keeping them informed of relevant developments, chasing them for orders and responding to ad hoc queries and requests.
- To research new customers and explore untapped areas for potential growth, particularly in specialist and heritage markets.
- To research relevant anniversaries, films, publicity and events with which to tie in existing or forthcoming titles
- To attend sales conferences and prepare engaging and informative presentation (in conjunction with Sales Director)
- To attend book fairs, prepare data/reports for meetings with customers and reps and follow up all leads within two weeks of the fair.
- To liaise with the distributor to ensure the timely and efficient fulfilment of orders.
Make clear our expectations of their high standards and make our displeasure clear when these standards are not met
- Keep abreast of trends, busy periods and errors made through reports circulated and through feedback from customers and colleagues
- Visit GBS regularly and keep them informed of Osprey developments
- To prepare a monthly sales report for the Sales Director
- To create a monthly newsletter informing customers and reps of new titles, promotions, POS, events and titles going out of stock
- To create sell-sheets and other sales material as required, and advise Marketing department on trade advertising and marketing
- Write sales points for Advanced Information sheets and attend Book Marketing Meetings; check for accuracy

Production and Design Assistant
Osprey Publishing, the leading publisher of illustrated military history books, is looking for a production and design assistant to join a thriving department.
You will be assisting in the production of reprints, designing cover visuals, scanning and manipulating images, archiving digital materials and providing general support for the production and design team.
You need to be organised and have an excellent eye for detail – the ability to juggle a wide range of tasks is essential. A working knowledge of QuarkXPress and Photoshop would be an advantage.
