Douglas Anderson
DOUGLAS N ANDERSON volunteered straight from school in 1945 and was commissioned into the Highland Light Infantry; he served mainly in the Middle East. He graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 1952, and freelanced for many years as a fashion artist and illustrator while retaining his military interests. He now specialises in military, historic and Highland dress. He has illustrated a number of books including several in collaboration with Michael Barthorp, his most recent for Osprey being Men-at-Arms 268: The British Troops in the Indian Mutiny. A widower with two daughters, Douglas Anderson lives and works in Scotland.
