Michael Whitby
Michael Whitby is Professor of Classics and Ancient History at Warwick. In recent years he has published several articles on late Roman warfare, and been involved as co-editor in The Cambridge Ancient History XIV; AD 425-600 (2000), The Cambridge History of Ancient Warfare (2005) and Christian Persecution, Martyrdom and Orthodoxy (2006). He is currently working on a study of Warfare and Society in the later Roman world.
