ACE 105, 106 & 107 and COM 91 for me. Soviet Hurricane Aces, I never thought I'd see the day. Fantastic news. Might give MiG aces a go too; I was impressed with Dmitriy Khazanov's La/FW book, one of the best of the recent Duels.
Very much hoping the new Hurricane book does well; would love to see more Ace titles on British Hurricane aces- maybe North Africa/Med and Burma, in the same way the Spitfire titles were expanded. Obviously it all comes down to sales, so fingers crossed. Cheers to Osprey for such a nice selection for 2012.

I am also worried about the lack of AEU titles for 2012. I hope that it doesn't mean the end of this series...
Many great titles however next year. For me, the winner will be American anti-kamikaze aces but ACE 102, 107, 108 and COM 91, 92, 83 sound interesting too.

This is not all of the aviation titles for 2012 - there are also some brilliant hardback aviation titles (plus some paperbacks of books like Red Eagles). There is also a secret (ish) batch of aviation books which you will learn about shortly, keep an eye on the blog for more info.
But, as you have noted, AEU is getting a well deserved rest this year - you may have noticed that we are doing some unit history books in the ACE series next year (ACE 108 for example) as a bit of an experiment - which is why AEU has been given the year off.

If it’s a choice between proper Aviation Elite Units titles and “Aces of the 1st Foot & Mouth” type Aircraft of the Aces pot boilers then I’d have to say I would much prefer the proper Aviation Elite Units titles every day of the week. What does everybody else thing???

I have a slight preference for actual Aviation Elite books, but really it all comes down to the subject matter. I haven't bought any of the unit-specific ACE titles yet, largely because they haven't involved British units, but if Osprey ever did "Aces of No. 1 squadron" (as an example) I'd snap it up.
It's a shame AEU's taking a break, but I think between ACE, COM and duel we're in for a pretty good year, aviation-wise. He 111 and Gladiator vs. CR42 for me, on top of my ACE choices.
While I'm at it, I'll reiterate a couple from the wish list, just on the "nothing ventured, nothing gained" theory: Stirling squadrons, Wellington squadrons, Beaufort squadrons, Hurricane ground attack squadrons.

Nice to see that WWI is still getting a few titles! Also I was pleasantly surprised to see even part of a book on the Boulton Paul Defiant - A nice varied batch coming our way - keep up the good work! (Though I do agree that a book on the Wellington would be great - and how about the Swordfish for FAA fans)

I'll second the Swordfish. Also Beaufighter strike squadrons, and Bostons and Mitchells in RAF service.
Question for Osprey- if there's enough of an audience to sustain the Cold War V-bomber titles, can we expect more British WW2 stuff?

Nice! look forward to ACE 106, ACE 109, COM 93,COM 94,COM 95 and also about news on new aviation series. Don't forget to unveil info on other series (ELI) for 2012 not yet revealed!

Could anyone please confirm if the Chris Bucholtz 365th FG title is still appearing - I believe that was going to be in the Elite series.
Otherwise JG 300 still needs to be covered in either the 'Aces' or Elite series ..and when on earth while Osprey get around to doing the Normandie Niemen - two of the most notable units yet to receive any decent Osrey coverage
cheers

Surely I will buy the 2 Vietnam titles: COM 93: A-6 Intruder and COM 94: US Marine Corps F-4. For the rest, again too much WWII for my taste; I have hoped to see the new "tech" series, or the Amazon announced COM USAF F-16 that now seems deleted or postponed to the 2013, or something about the F-111 and its rich combat history (from Vietnam to the Gulf War, passing for Eldorado Canyon).

Unfortunately, we have not scheduled a book on the 365th FG at this time.
