New Year and New Artwork Day!
January 7, 2011 12:00 AM
After a little server issue slowed down the blog at the start of the New Year, we are back and ready to roll. And what better way to start off 2011 than with some top-notch military history artwork from a trio of Osprey greats!
Leading off is Howard Gerrard with this terrific shot from the upcoming CAM 230: Nile 1798 (March 2011). Who dosen't like ships-of-the-line blasting each other to splinters?

Next up is Peter Dennis with this colourful shot from CMD 14: Garibaldi. A classic shot from a period that hasn't been greatly covered by Osprey in the past.

Finally, how about this moody painting by Graham Turner from CAM 255: Walcheren 1944 (June, 2011)

Wow, these are such brilliant paintings! So detailed and vivid; I wish I could paint like this!

beautiful plates indeed, though i would have prefered a sneak preview from books like CAM: Nomonhan 1939 and MaA: Armies of the Balkan Wars 1912-13.
