Submersible Aircraft Carriers?
November 23, 2009 12:00 AM
Okay, this story from the Telegraph has it all. Japanese submersible aircraft carriers, a planned attack on the Panama Canal, plague rats, and some of the first torpedoes fired during the Cold War!
Read all about it here.
Many thanks to Lawrence from Strike - Hold! for bringing the story to my attention.
COMMENTS
I recommend the excellent book "I-400: Japan's secret aircraft-carrying strike submarine: objective Panama Canal" written by Henry Sakaida, Gary Nila and Koji Takaki to those who want to know more about this interesting subject.

For those who get the History channels in the US (or anywhere else), there's a special shown every now and again called, "The Samurai and the Swastika", which has about 15 - 20 minutes devoted to the topic.
