I think Osprey should write a book on the lesser known counterinsurgies such as, Chechnya and the Kurdistan campaign.

PKK terrorism (AKA Kurdish Insurgency in Turkey) is by far the most difficult insurgent/terrorist movement in the world to deal with. They have the backing of every single country in the region (Iraq, Iran, Russia, Armenia, Syria, Greece and in part USA) and operate in one of the most difficult geographies for a conventional army. Given that, Turkish military is doing a superb job dealing with the PKK without any collateral damage to the civilian population. It is the Americans and the English who need to learn from the Turks.
