Now that the Osprey member’s area is four months old I’ve decided to see what our Gold and Silver members have been viewing in the map and plane databases. It was quite interesting to see that half of the plane profiles and maps had been viewed by at least one of our members. With a combined database of over 9,000 images I find this very impressive!

The quickest drive from Chicago north to Oshkosh, WI is the wide, straight state highway 41. It takes you past fields and farms, including an enormous wind farm--something I've never seen before. The EAA (Experimental Aviation Association) grounds are just past a bluff of trees across from the first car dealership you'll pass on your journey...

There has been a lot in the news recently about the battle between Boeing and Airbus, both in civilian aviation, and more recently in the battle over who will supply the US Airforce with its next generation of midair refueling tankers...

I read today that the civilian version of the Osprey tilt-rotorcraft will soon be available to buy. So if you wish to deploy you and your family at the beach this summer in a way that gets you noticed then dig out that spare $18-23 million stuffed under the bed and you are all set.

I was browsing the web recently, and came across a link to this WWI dogfight game. It's free, it's fun, it's pretty quick to play through the 10 levels, and you get to shoot down a zeppelin...

I love the Dambusters film. And this clip suggests that Peter Jackson is getting closer to filming a remake. Which could be great...like the Lord of the Rings. Or not so great - like King Kong. Fingers crossed he doesn't mess it up because he has a lot to live up to here...
