As a possible aid to deciding which books to reprint (and as a service to your readers trying to save some pennies in these tough economic times), looking at how much some of the Osprey out of print books are going for on Abebooks.com could be useful. I'm sure sure many people would be grateful to not have to spend huge amounts for one book when they could buy more than one title at a reprint price. One title that comes to mind was Sunderland Squadrons of World War 2. It took me a while to find one at a decent price.

Crimean, thank you for your suggestions, I will happily pass on your comments about books you'd like to see back in print. I am pleased to tell you that MAA 127: The Israeli Army in the Middle East Wars 1948-73 is currently being reprinted and should be available soon, so keep an eye on our online store! ELI 53 (International Brigades in Spain 1936–39) was reprinted in December 2008 and some copies of this are available from the 'US' location in our online store - I hope this helps!

Dear Osprey team,
I am a huge fan of your series and have already over 500 titles covering 9 series. My first one when I was 12 yrs: Chasseurs of the Guard : MAA 11. I posted all the OOS titles that I am still looking for (74 titles) on my wish list under MY OSPREY. Especially MAA, Elite, Warrior titles on Napoleonic, 18th century and US Civil War subjects are a big desire. Thanks for publishing all these great books over last 30yrs.
Robert DB

Thanks for the response Osprey Editor. Out of the nearly 120 books due to be re-printed in the next 2 months I hope more than just 1 of my requested books will get re-printed! I’m pretty sure the ones I have listed will be popular as I have heard and seen others requesting the same books. Why are some books available to US customers and not UK customers and vice versa? Shouldn’t all Osprey books be available to purchase to everyone. ELI 53 (International Brigades in Spain 1936–39) happens to be the only Osprey book I need concerning the Spanish Civil!! Please make all Osprey books available to UK and US customers!!

Crimean - we are looking to reprint an average of 60-70 titles a month throughout the year - with our production team working flat out to get these through. As for the variances in stock between the UK and the US - its nothing sinister, just simply that some of these titles are still in transit on the way to the US from the printers, and some of the titles have already been sold out, with unexpectedly high demand from bookstores... So do keep an eye on the books you are waiting for, and I will do my best to keep you up to date with newly reprinted titles as they arrive in stock.

Robert - thank you for your kind words, as a number of major Napoleonic anniversaries draw close we are making a concerted effort to bring our Napoleonic titles back into print as quickly as possible, but we wont be neglecting other periods in our reprint batches.
