Osprey teams up with Square-Enix for Order of War

You will probably know of videogame publisher Square-Enix because of their multi-million selling super-franchise Final Fantasy - a series which has spawned countless sequels, brought the Japanese-style turn based RPG to the western audience and has included some of the greatest games ever. In fact, current rumours are ciculating that Final Fantasy VII - widely considered one of the greatest videogames of all time - is actually due to be remade frame by frame for the next generation consoles as a tribute to just how good a game it was orginally.

Can you write about a battle in six words?

I've been trying to work out whether Twitter is worth doing recently and I fear I may be getting a little addicted... I began thinking of describing battles and wars in just six words which happily filled a few minutes between invoices and event planning for next year.

D-Day remembered

In the early hours on June 6, 1944, the largest airborne and amphibious assault the world has ever seen was set into operation. Over 200,000 allied troops descended upon the northern coast of France and in the face of fierce German resistance pushed inland, as wave upon wave of troops invaded the mine-littered beaches.

Books back in stock this month! February Update!

I had a massive response to my last post about what books had been reprinted and were now back in stock.l would like to say a big thank you to all the people who emailed me about the list, and I am sorry it has taken us so long to get this up and running on a regular basis. It will now become a monthly feature, which we will also announce in our newsletters, so you will always be able to keep in touch with what is back in stock, as soon as it is back in stock.

Books back in stock this month!

As I promised here, every month we are going to announce what books have been re-printed and have been brought back into print and are once again available to buy online. The Production team here have been working their socks off to get a very sizeable chuck of our books back in stock - 40 titles this month - and nearly 80 titles due in for next month!

Ford release footage of their new beach assault vehicle - available to buy today!

It is not often that you get the chance to watch a new beach assault craft being tested by the Royal Marines. It is not often that the Ford car company build beach assault vehicles for the military - and then put them on sale to the public. It is not often that a military vehicle is painted a bright lime green...

Oshkosh B'Gosh

The quickest drive from Chicago north to Oshkosh, WI is the wide, straight state highway 41. It takes you past fields and farms, including an enormous wind farm--something I've never seen before. The EAA (Experimental Aviation Association) grounds are just past a bluff of trees across from the first car dealership you'll pass on your journey...
