Personally I think that the First World War needs some treatment, books on the Whippet ,Scneider and Renault tanks are all crying out to be added. There could also be material to be mined on the Inter war tank designs and British Airbourne Tanks, Gliders, bikes etc of WW2. Plenty of books to be found in the Navies of the world, Flower Class Corvettes and Type 42 destroyers would be two I'd buy in a flash.

My preference is for the weapon systems of the Cold War. There are so many that have not been covered in the New Vanguard series: recon vehicles, APCs, field artillery, tactical nuclear weapons, air defenses, many classes of ships, infantry and support weapons, etc.

Why not start with updating your current books on modern subjects!! I have suggested that several times with no luck...

Anders/Denmark

PS: It is an excellent series

I would like to see New Vanguard follow through when it opens a topic. For example, the books on British Field and Heavy Artillery of WWI should be followed by corresponding volumes on German and French artillery. Like wise, I would like to see further volumes on artillery in WWII and from the Cold War.

Thanks for asking for our input.

I would like to see book(s) about tanks ot the 1920's and 30's like the Vickers Mediums and the Russian tanks) which were the true ancestors of WWII types.

i would say a definite 'yes' to WWI tanks (whippet & renault); also, one covering WW1 british light cruisers & one covering destroyers; soviet assault guns of WW2; french tanks of WW2; and finally patrol vehicles of iraq/afghanistan.

I agree that gliders of ww2 and airbourne equipment like the bikes and light tanks would be great (I'd buy that one the day it came out!). Also what about the german heavy and super heavy guns (ie the railway guns and the trains that were specifically designed to pull them). It would also be nice to see something on the workhorses (ie trucks and tractors etc) of the british, german and us armies of ww2
