Seeing the Elephant: Peter Dennis illustrates War Elephants

Posted by Mike on August 16, 2008

In the American Civil War being in combat was sometimes referred to as ‘Seeing the Elephant’. As an illustrator, they’d come up from time to time, I had a favourite reference book or two and I could nick a pose from a photograph when I needed it. When the New Vanguard title ‘War Elephants’ appeared on my radar though, I knew it was time to up my elephantine game....

Who is the best soldier of all time

Posted by Phil on May 10, 2008

Unlike several other rules sets covering this period, T&T focuses on actual battles between military or at least paramilitary forces, with rules for all kinds of heavy weapons, tanks, and aircraft....
