Gordon Rottman at Virginia War Museum

Looking for something to do in a cold November rain? The Virginia War Museum, located in Newport News, will be celebrating the opening of a new exhibit this Sunday - Turned Upside Down: The 20th Anniversary of the Fall of the Berlin Wall.

Speaking and signing books at the event will be Osprey author Gordon Rottman, who authored the Fortress title on the Berlin Wall, among many others.

Oddly 'The Hoff' has a rather rabid fan club in the office, I know that when he was at the Book Fair a couple of years ago, there was much swooning and excitement. Not really sure why - although I will admit to being a bit of a fan of Knight Rider...

I remember the Hoff Attack well. I had my back to the Presence when it materialised but was suddenly distracted from an intense bilingual meeting (we didn't speak much Spanish and they didn't speak much English) by the sight of about five female faces pivoting to bask in the craggy, perma-tanned radiance. But no, Paul, he didn't look at all like the Berlin Wall.
