Music to go to war with

If you had to go to war what would you want playing on the radio?
This is the question I posed to six of my colleagues in the office. After an initial outburst of “I don’t want to go to war!” I told them to relax and explained that I was creating an album titled The Very Best Tank Tracks Part 1. I wanted two songs from each of them not necessarily associated to a military theme but something they would like to listen to if they were conscripted into the army and had to fight.
Here’s what we chose. I would love to hear what your choices are?
Rammstein - Sonne
Hendrix - All along the Watchtower
Doors – This is the End
The Waterboys - The Whole of the Moon
The Boss - Born to Run
Credence Clearwater Revival - Fortunate Son
The Electrics - Killiecranked Up
Dropkick Murphys - The Gauntlet
Tom Petty - Refugee
Song from M*A*S*H - Suicide is Painless
Country Joe & the Fish - I-Feel-Like-I'm-Fixin'-To-Die Rag,
Robert Earl Keen - Beats The Devil
Manic Street Preachers – Motorcycle Emptiness
Wagner - Ride of the Valkyries
Unknown Artist - It’s a long way to Tipperary

those are some good choices. i'd pick:
Sol Invictus - The Raven Chorus
The Angels of Light - Nations
The White Stripes - Seven Nation Army
Gravediggaz - 1-800-SUICIDE
Fields of the Nephilim - Power
Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Rockets Fall on Rocket Falls
SWANS - The Great Annihilator
probably others, but there's a taste.

Well an obvious one but maybe too literal is "In the Army Now" by Status Quo; also (and this is a bit left field), "If I could turn back time" by Cher, this works on several levels; "Chariots of Fire" by Vangelis, just an inspired/inspirational piece of music; and finally "99 Red Balloons" by Nina - wow the Eighties, dude!

Bob Dylan & The Band - This wheel's on fire.
Verdi Requiem - Dies Irae

"Chariots of Fire", "M*A*S*H"? You must be joking. If you're going to war, put on the original oldies but goodies (Yes, Tipperary is a great choice, but...).
Dixie - the smash hit of 1859
Bonnie Blue Flag
(and I'm a Yankee)
This is the Army - written by a doughboy!
She Wore a Yellow Ribbon
Garry Owen
The Yellow Rose of Texas - dedicated to the woman without whom San Jacinto would not have been possible
And for those dark moments - Deguello (at least the Dimitri Tiomkin version)

How about "the minstrel boy"? A great song that has lasted the test of time. Just off hand I remember it from th soundtracks to "major dundee", "the man who would be king", "the rough riders" and "black hawk down", not to mention a episode of star trek - the next generation! I have to say the Joe Strummer version takes a lot of beating ( but that might be my old clash / punk roots talking ) ! However if you get the chance listen to the charlie zahm version on you tube.
