Soldier completes the Great North Run - whilst carrying a fridge
October 6, 2008 12:00 AM
A friend of mine ran the Great North Run yesterday for the first time and had an amazing time. She completed the run in a sub two hour time and said it was very inspirational and will definitely be running it again.
Another individual who was running was Ex Royal Green Jacket soldier Andy Butler. Instead of running in shorts, T-Shirt and trainers Andy decided to run in DPMs and boots while carrying a 75lb household fridge on his back.

Only a British soldier would do something this challenging and crazy. However, it was all for a good cause, Andy was raising money for the Help the Heroes charity.
