This is one of my favourite battle art scenes, everthing about it is superb.

There's no doubt in my mind that peter dennis & steve noon have taken the artwork on to another level.

Although Stalingrad is often presented as THE turning point, it's forgotten that, a scant 4 months later, an equally devastating defeat was handed the Germans in North Africa, when they, too, might have saved at least some of their men.

Not mention that, even after Stalingrad, the Wehrmacht was still capable of mounting large-scale offensives at both Kharkov and Kursk. Which should not detract from the epic nature of the Stalingrad fighting, of course!

Formwiz, I seem to remember the Germans referred to the surrender in North Africa as "Tunisgrad."
