One of the reasons I could never get into collecting prepainted figures was the substandard paint job, particularly in the face. Granted some prepainted figures like King & County are much better detailed paint wise, but they are expensive! And besides who wants to pay $25 for one figure, or $75+ for a set when their rifles or bayonets are bent?

I think the only motivation is that something you paint yourself is still so much more satisfying than anything else. OK so it looks awful but hey- its yours and yours alone.

In all honesty I think that it willtake a long, long while before pre-painted miniatures reach that degree of ability. As it is it seems that BF:Evo has barely moved on the shelves of local game stores. Even accounting for better sculpts (particuarly from Rackham) I don't think it will catch on quite yet with hardcore hobbyists.
