It is seldom noted how the cavalier and parliamentarian rivals of Cromwell fared during the initial inter-regnum period. I think the efforts
of cavalier highwaymen for example are unsung. Battles such as Dunbar
and the sieges of Royalist manorhouses are neglected as well.
As rather a zealot many erstwhile supporters hailed the Restoration
and posthumously beheaded Cromwell.

would be interesting to see effects of 30 years war on 17th century conflicts reflected ,both in individual officers service ,plus swedish influence on tactics
