The War of the Austrian Succession
unknownpleasures
This war has been the most neglected of all 18th century wars. It involved colorful figures, massive battles, and endless intrigue. Please Osprey publish some campaign titles on some of these battles: Fontenoy, Mollwitz, Piacenza

Indeed. I would, and have been for a long time, wanted Osprey to publish an essential histories title on this particular war. I was reading one of the other essential histories titles the other day (Seven Years War by Daniel Marston) and was very impressed by the quality of his work on both that war and the American War of Independence. I am really hoping he could do one more title on this major war too.

I to would like to see some capmaign books on this war. Also I think a essential history book would be nice.

Agreed. Osprey has done a great job covering Frederick the Great's battles of the Seven Years War and is soon to cover the Havanna, but nothing on the Silesian Wars or Fontenoy? Have to think there is as much interest and with the exception of Fontenoy, no outside competition.
