Opium Wars

crimean

Could Osprey possibly look into covering the Opium Wars of 1839–1842, 1856–1860. As Osprey has already covered the Taiping and Boxer Rebellion this title would make an important addition.

The Opium Wars are covered briefly in MAA 224: Queen Victoria's Enemies (4). Unfortunately, there are no plans it present to revisit this topic.

I would like to see the Opium wars toched one more then just brifly in a MAA book. An Essential History would be best, it was a very importent war for the fare east and had long lasting conesqunces.

I do too. As a result of the the British Opium trade and war, Queen Victoria went down in history as "the greatest drug trafficer of all time".
I suppose the opium war was a true drug war.
It should make good copy.
