Egyptian Army of the 19th Century, from 1798

I think it would be good to have a book detailing the forces within Egypt, like the Mamluks and Ottomans in the same book describing the Army of Egypt from Muhammad Ali onwards.

Agreed, along with the Napoleonic campaigns in Egypt and Syria.

I'd like to see some MAA treatment of Muhammad Ali's army and its successors, up to the arrival of the British in the 1880s. Plenty of exotic dress there. Plus a look at their various opponents, e.g. Sudanese, Wahhabis, Abyssians, Ottomans.

Excellent suggestion! A book on Muhammad Ali's army would be most interesting.

agreed. considering Osprey already published a great book on the Sikh Army, there's no reason not to cover the Egyptian Army as well.

I very much agree. These are important topics to be featured as such subjects are rarely published in english-language works.
