The MAA "Confederate Army" serie was great! , BUT....

Guerrilla Bunny

... when are we going to see a similar "Union Army" serie in Men at Arms?

It would be great if Osprey could make a "Union Army" serie, checking 2 or 3 states per book, like they did with the confederates, putting emphasis on the early years.

Sure, the common conception is that the Union Army had homogeneous clothing compared to the rebel one. But that is a misconception in my opinion.

At the beginning of the war, Union militias and volunteers used a whole range of clothing, including a lot of grey uniforms!!!. Just check MAA 207 and you will see what I mean.

Common, Osprey!!! Make my year, please!!!

I too have wondered about this and I think it's a great idea. I also think it would be neat to see books on naval forces and tactics (we already have ACW Guerrilla Tactics and ACW Railroad Tactics) so why not regular infantry and cavalry tactics as well?

Sounds like a pretty good idea! My one regret is Richard Hook is no longer with us to do the color plates. He always did great work with Ron Field.
