Hi Gang,
would love to see Tyre 332 ,[Alexander flustered] Carrhae 53 [Crassus getting his head handed to him] and whatta ya think of some of the greek campaigns in Sicily, especially Gelon at Himera 480 or the doings of Timoleon or Pyrrhus?

The siege of Tyre has been covered in both CAM7 Alexander 334-323BC and EH26 The Wars Of Alexander The Great 336-323BC (as well as in the Vanguard titles about siege machines), so unlikely to have a book dedicated to it.
Carrhae would be good though. The others would probably be lumped together in a more general Essential History.

A book about Carrhae would be brilliant. I'd also like to see more books about the Hellenistic era, such as a title on the Battle of Raphia, Ipsus or the Roman attacks on the Macedonians at Cynoscephalae.

Hi all, thank you for your ideas – it is clear that there is a lot of demand for this era. Although the above-suggested subjects are not being prepared currently, we have a lot of interesting Ancient World titles in the Osprey pipeline, covered in a variety of our series.

I would have liked Carrhae 53 BC to be made into a campaign book, I don’t think it faired too well on a book vote couple of months ago. I also hope Osprey has plans to cover the battles of Alexander the Great’s successors.
