Do you think that Osprey need publish title of the very late samurai ?
Forexaple elite title Samurai 1868 - 1880.

I would love to see some titles involving the Meiji Restoration era, such as campaign titles on the Boshin War and the later Satsuma Rebellion. Perhaps an elite title on the Shinsengumi would also draw a lot of attention. All in all there is plenty of military activity in Japan during that time period for Osprey to focus on. A very good idea.

I too would like to see a book about armies of the Bakumatsu period and the later shishi revolts. This is a period that english information is hard to come by and a book illustrating the armies of this period would make a valued addition to any Japanese military history buffs collection.

Hi, I would like to see at least 2-3 books on theancient, medieval and early modern Korean Armies!There is absolutely nothing on them and its a gaping hole. Considering that Korea was an integral part of the conflicts raging in East Asia, there should be titles on it. How bout it Osprey?

i think we're all pretty much saturated with titles on the Sengoku Jidai and earlier periods have also already been covered. it's high time for the Meji Restauration incl the already mentioned Boshin War and Satsuma Rebellion and the armies that fought in them.

A Men-At-Arms title on the late samurai armies 1861-1879 would be great, as well as a warrior title on the Shinsengumi. A Satsuma or Boshin War campaign title would be great as well.

Maybe if there is enough information covering the battle, there should be a campaign title on the Battle of Toba-Fushimi?
