Title Suggestions on Chinese Warfare

Mr Mac

Dear Osprey,
recently I began to become interested in Chinese warfare, namely the Zhou through the Song dynasties, and I was wondering if you plan to release any more books on the subject. I have read and purchased several Osprey books detailing the subject, but unfortunately, my interest isn't satiated.

I frequently noted the author's repeated allusions to cataphracts and the en -masse nature of ancient Chinese warfare, yet the illustrations, while I mean no offense to the illustrators themselves, were bleak and even Angus McBride's ( I will miss him and his talent immensely) depiction on the subject in Ancient Chinese Warfare 1500-200BC seemed a bit lacking.
I was wondering perhaps Osprey could make an Elite title or perhaps another MAA title detailing ancient or "medieval" Chinese warfare with the latest in archaeological finds, or am I out of luck?

thanks, and keep up the great work.

Thank you very much for your post. Unfortunately we don't have any plans to publish an Elite or MAAA title on China next year but we will publish a Fortress title on Chinese Walled Cities 221 BC–AD 1644 which will be available in May next year. We would certainly like to do more books on Ancient Chinese topics but we are awaiting suitable proposals.
