Hospitaller Cappa Colour

Could anybody please help me l am about to model a figure based on the figure shown in Osprey's
Knight Hospitaller 1 he is shown wearing a red tunic and shield but no Cappa would this garment be
red, black or white ? could any of you guys out there help me out.

A brethren-at-arms of the Hospitallers wore a red cappa clausa with a white cross, with a black mantle, according to the Statute of 1278.

Ignore that last post. The answer would be black, the cappa clausa being of course the mantle... (slaps forehead)
