A new Osprey series?
CWyatt
I see on Amazon.com, there is a title called Light Dragoons - A Regimental History. Is there a new series covering army organisations/regiments? Or a one off?

I noticed this title on here a while back and was both thrilled & intrigued. I don't know if it contains original artwork but I would love to see a return to "Regimental" titles in the MAA series. The old titles from the 1970's were rather uneven since they cover so much in terms of time period & the color plates vary greatly but some such as The Buffs, The King's Regiment & The Grenadier Guards were outstanding. The one on the Coldstream Guards is without a doubt one of the WORST titles ever produced & cannot believe this waste of trees and an insult to the Regiment was ever reprinted. Osprey has "kinda/sorta" given us unit histories again with The Guards Divisions & Irish Regiments in the World Wars which was very welcome. I see no reason why more should not be published & perhaps some on American regiments/divisions?

Not a new series I belive. It is a book published with consent from that regiment and I think it is just a special stand alone. You can see it on Opsry's catalogue. But if it sells well there might be more like it.

Destory of Worlds is correct - it is not a new series, though it will be in a similar format/trim size as our series books.

Thanks for the info, and I’ll be looking forward to it. I think it’s similar but different look got me wondering. Also agree with Michael, more regimental titles (of any nationality) would be welcome.
