Missing Campaign Books??????
AdamC
Hi guys!!!!
Just a quite question about two campaign books that appear to have vanished! I remember seeing one for Taranto 1940 and The River Plate 1939 on amazon (It think they are still there to be honest). I was really lookingforward to these two but they both seem to have dropped off the radar! Any news on them, have they been scrapped or just postponed??? I think someelse enquired about them recently on the Raids series thread.
All the best Osprey

These were two titles I was really looking forward to as well, Adam: two fantastic stories from Britain's naval WWII. I got quite carried away putting together sales information on them for our US distributors (who work with rather longer lead times than the rest of the world). Sadly, neither was to complete the demanding journey from commissioning to finished manuscript, artwork briefs etc. Perhaps Osprey will find someone else to take them on....

Adam C and William, thank you for your comments on these two Campaign titles. CAM 173: Taranto 1940 is currently on hold, although we will hopefully be able to complete and release this title in the future. I am sorry to tell you that CAM 17: The Battle of the River Plate 1939 is also on hold. However, I will pass your interest in these titles on to our editors, and I urge our readers to follow your example and let us know what you’d like to read via the forum, it is great to hear your opinions. Despite these books not being released in the near future, we do have some other exciting WWII Campaign titles being published in 2009, including CAM 205: Warsaw 1944, CAM 214: The Coral Sea 1942, and CAM 215: Leningrad 1941-44.

Sorry it took me a while to reply to this one chaps. Thanks for your responses. While its disappointing to hear that they wont be out soon its great to hear that they have only been postponed rather than scrapped altogether. Please keep us posted on their likely arrival Osprey as im sure others, like me will been interested, they certainly seem to have been mentioned on a few threads that are floating round.
