Gaelic re-surgence Ireland 1250 to1450AD

I would really like to see a book on the Native Irish armies during the Gaelic re-surgence. They were highly succesful against the Normans after the initial shock and took back most of there lands and maintained virtual independance. This should be worthy of an Osprey book.
Also one on the campaigns of Art MacMurrough King of Leinster and his allies(ie.Murrough O'Conor of UiFailghe and Niall Mor O'Neill) would be nice also.

Hi Kevin, thank you for your comment, we can think about your suggestions. Unfortunately we cannot publish books on every idea we receive, but we will definitely take these into consideration.

I agree, this would make a great title, I really think Osprey should pursue more of these sorts of titles--exploring the relatively unknown in mainstream history always makes for great academic literature

Hi all, I think a title on Gaelic resurgence would be interesting, perhaps in the context of Edward Bruce's invasion in Ireland in the early 14th century, and the O'Brien defeat of the De Clare's at Dysert O'Dea in 1318. It would be most interesting to have a book that is detailed on the appearance and equipment of native armies. I would also like to see a title on the nine years year (Hugh O'Neil and Hugh O'Donnell). Whilst some of this is covered in the 1485-1601 Irish Wars title, this book is dissapointing in its illustrations of Gaelic soldiers and has no illustrations of the Spanish intervention force at Kinsale in 1601.
