Fortifications in Transylvania
murphac
This past weekend I had the pleasure of visiting several exquisite fortified sites in southern Transylvania including the walls of the city of Brasov, the fortress of Rasnov, and Bran Castle. There is a wealth of fortified sites throughout Transylvania including castles (such as Bran, Corvin Castle in Hudnedoara, and the castle at Miercurea Ciuc) fortified cities (Brasov, Sibiu, and Sighisoara) and the hundreds of distinctive fortified churches built by the Transylvanian Saxons and Szeklers as community refuges against raiding Turks and Tatars.
A title on these beautifully sited fortifications along the Carpathian frontier would be an interesting addition to the fortress series.

I hope Osprey can do a fortress title covering Eastern European fortresses. I would imagine there are lot of sites that many people have not come across. Could Osprey look into covering the armies of Vlad the Impaler or even later Wallachian, Transylvanian & Moldavian armies?
