Duel: Cold War Combatants

I see Amazon says there will be a duel title called M60 vs T-62: Cold War Combatants 1956-92. Another good similar vein cold war title could be Leopard II vs T-72.
In fact, maybe an extended ‘Duel special’ on Cold war central front NATO/Warsaw Pact tanks might be an idea? As equally valid cold war tank also include Chieftain, AMX-30, Leopard I

The problem you have got with those suggestions is that they are all hypothetical. None of those tanks actually met in combat where as the M60 and T-62 met in combat in the Middle East.

That’s true. And although you cant judge a (future) book by its cover, it did seem to imply cold war (NATO-Warsaw Pact) confrontation. That’s the problem with first hearing about future books via Amazon rather than Osprey.
I also can’t help but wonder...why not do a hypothetical? And as NATO/Warsaw Pact did prepare and exercise for war, there would be much to write about there.

True, the hypothetical titles are an interesting possibility. I think the subject has come up on here before with respect to the duel series. The Cold War would certainly offer a wealth of topics on tanks aircraft and ships.
For the time being though I think there are plenty of duels that actually took place for Osprey to concentrate.
