Modern SAMs/Air Defence
Tombo
I was looking through a military photo forum today when I was suprised to see a 16 page thread dedicated to the Crotale surface to air missile. I was wondering has Osprey ever thought about doing more books on land/sea based air defence weapons systems. Apart from a book on the SA-2 I don't think there's been anything done to cover this theme.
The multi-layered system used by the Soviets/Russians would fill several books on their own let alone Rapier, Crotale, Patriot, Hawk, Nike, Roland.... And as for modern AAA a new Vanguard or (hypothetical) Duel between the ZSU-23-4 and Gepard would be interesting.

Good call, most of them I would buy (especially Rapier, Patriot & Roland, and I would like Bloodhound & SA-6 and British naval SAMs (who have seen action)). Not sure how a SPAAG duel title would work, ZSU-23-4 and Gepard wouldn’t fight each other. What about instead Elite Tactics books on modern (or Cold War) anti-aircraft and naval anti-aircraft tactics?

I'd like to see a book on the Patriot air defense system covering it's developement as well as problems during service in both Gulf Wars.
