Book on Chaco War 1932-1935

monkeyapplenerd

I think a book on the Chaco War which lasted from 1932-1935 should be made. The war was between Bolivia and Paraguay over control of the northern part of the Gran Chaco region of South America. It was the bloodiest military conflict fought in the Americas during the 20th century. Over 100,000 casualties in this war and no book come on.

I am glad to hear something is being considered, but I really want to see an essential history for this war.

Excellent! If the booklet is originally written and Spanish and the company translates it,, could you make the original available as an ebook?

Glad to hear Osprey is covering South American conflicts. An Essential History book would be ideal for a war such as this, as I assume not many people outside South America know too much about it.

Chaco war is a really interesting... Is plenty of battles of manouvre, creating pockets that destroyed several divisions as in Campo Vía or Cañada Strongest, unsupplying and destroying by thirst a Cavalry Corps, etc also with frontal attacks similar to trench warfare as in Nanawa or Ballivián...
