Empires of the dragon query

Will Empires of the dragon cover the period including the Japanese invasion of Korea in the 16th centuary? I'm not sure if that late date is still considered Ancient or Medieval.

No Fog Ancients only covers upto 1499/1500. So Empires of the Dragon won't cover it.

I assume it will be covered in the upcoming FoG renaissance rules and lists
