Italian Theater after the fall of Rome
drew1955
My uncle served in Italy in 1944-45 ( I&R platoon/338th Regiment/US 85th Infantry Division; he saw Il Duce's corpse dangling in Milano), and I have noticed most books on the war in Italy "coast" after Anzio and the breakout from Cassino. How about some books on the war in Italy after Normandy stole the headlines. Don in Texas.

There should be a MAA on the army of the RSI. It fought on after the armistice. So little is known about it and its commander Graziano.

I wold like a book on Ortona but also on Salerno. Another important subject is the battle to break the gothic line in 1944/45.

Doesn't Part 3 of the Italian Army of WW II & Resistance Warfare 1940-45 in the MAA series already cover the RSI?
