Anti-japanese resistance-movements ca 1920-1945

While alot has been written about the European partisan and resistance movements, very little has been written about the anti-Japanese resistance-movements. The maa about Chinese civil war armies 1911-1945 covers the Chinese part of it, but Korea had resistance movements from at least 1920ies s far as I have inderstood. Vietnam had several movements, Vietminh just being one of them. The Philipino, Inonesian and the different Head hunter tribes who resisted the Japanese are worth some coverage as well.

At last! I support entirelly this request! And lets not forget the brave East-Timorese and Portuguese resistants that fought alongside the australians of independent companies 2/2 and 2/4!
Meanwhile I'm the proud owner of the official japanese report (dated 1913!) of the antiguerrilla activities in "Chosen" (Korea) in the years 1910-12, if someone's interested...and a couple of books surfacing timorese and malayan resistance too

Is the report in Japanese? Or has it been translated?

I agree the asain insurgents and tribal insurgents are ironically unsung heroes. The propsect of facing such brutal armies with primitive implements and stealth is humbling and inspiring. It would be comparable to the so-called legend of Polish cavalrymen facing Panzer tanks. There is from a Western and oft Anglocentric perspective less emphasis placed on resistance to the armies of Imperial Japan. Australia's travails for that matter have been neglected.
