Robert Brown has had a lifelong interest in warships and navies, starting when he was christened aboard the frigate HMCS Stettler. He is a keen ship modeller, and has written five Shipcraft titles, the latest being Royal Navy Aircraft Carriers: Hermes, Ark Royal, and the Illustrious Class. He also wrote Battleship Warspite in the Original Builders’ Plans series, and is a contributor to Warship. He is a retired IT professional who lives on the west coast of Canada.
