It is not often that you get the chance to watch a new beach assault craft being tested by the Royal Marines. It is not often that the Ford car company build beach assault vehicles for the military - and then put them on sale to the public. It is not often that a military vehicle is painted a bright lime green.

But this weekend all of this came true - have a look at this video of a Ford-built machine takes part in a Royal Marine beach assault.



Ok, ok, so maybe I have bent the truth a little bit - this is actually footage from the BBC show Top Gear and a 'slightly irreverent' review of the new Ford Fiesta. But it is also the most amazing car advert ever made - i was sorely tempted to go out and buy one having seen this...

Maybe we should look into the Ford Fiesta as a possible inclusion in the New Vanguard series.
