A few months ago I had the privilege of speaking at length with ex-Osprey CEO, William Shepherd, about the publication of his first Osprey: Salamis 480 BC. They say that writing a book is like giving birth to a child and William is particularly proud of his offspring. In the podcast he speaks passionately about doing the research, the problems inherent with the ancient source material and how he surmounted them, and the tactics that helped the Greeks win the day over their Persian adversaries. This was my first podcast and the sound quality is not perfect, but I promise that you will be treated to a lively discussion that will be sure to deepen your understanding of a fascinating topic. And if you do listen, please leave a comment--I'd love to hear from you!
