There’s just over a week left to go until the start of Historicon, and we’re all far too excited in the office. Our bags are packed, our tickets bought and our dice loaded, we can’t wait to set off for humid Fredericksburg for a few days of good ol’fashioned wargaming!
But it’s not all play - we’ll be at stand 403 to show off what Osprey has in store for the next few months.
We’ll have a limited number of Ronin: Skirmish Wargames in the Age of the Samurai, which a lucky (and quick) few can get their hands on a month before official release. King Arthur, the fourth volume in our Myth series, will also make an appearance, alongside a selection of our newest books.
And on Saturday at 1:30, Osprey will host a special panel on our upcoming books, with several Osprey authors as guest stars:
- In keeping with the show’s American Civil War theme, Jim Donnell will be talking about Union Infantryman vs. Confederate Infantryman from our new series, Combat.
- Steve Zaloga will be talking about the research for CAM Market Garden - American Airborne, due for release mid-2014
- Mark Romanych will be talking about NVG 205: Big Bertha
- Bob Hodges will be on hand to discuss ELI 171: American Civil War Railroad Tactics
- And Joe McCullough, father of the myth series, will talk about his own book Myth 2: Dragonslayers
To top it all off, we’ll have a raffle to win some pre-release copies of our books.
So if you’re planning on attending Historicon, or are passing by Fredericksburg, come and say hello, meet some authors and find out about our upcoming books.
See you there!
