Joe told us what we could expect from the Warrior and Elite series.
Phil gave us an insight into what was on the horizon for New Vanguard and Raid
Kate told us what we could expect from our new Weapon series.
And I waxed lyrical about the future of the Men-at-Arms series titles coming up in 2011.
And it now falls to me to give you an insight into what to expect from our aviation titles over the next year or so. (Excluding our Duel titles - which I will leave to Phil to cover).
Aircraft of the Aces
We have some really tasty titles coming out this year in the Aircraft of the Aces series - a combination of much anticipated titles which are running a little later than planned, a couple of titles that we have been begged for on numerous occasions, and perhaps most exciting, the 100th volume in the ACE series!
ACE 92 Fw 190 Defence of the Reich Aces (February)
ACE 97 Naval Aces of World War 1 (Part 1) (July)
ACE 98 Spitfire Aces of North Africa and Italy (April)
ACE 99 Legion Condor Aces (June)
ACE 100 Ki-44 'Tojo' Aces of World War 2 (October)
ACE ??? Luftwaffe Viermot Aces 1942-45 (November)
ACE ??? MIG-1/3 Aces of World War 2 (November)
Combat Aircraft
A nice mix this time out for the Combat Aircraft series too, with a good spread of titles taking in a nice range of historical periods - so there should be something in there to keep most people happy!
COM 85 B-57 Canberra Units of the Vietnam War (January)
COM 87 B-24 Liberator Units of the CBI (February)
COM 88 Victor Units of the Cold War (February)
COM 89 USAF F-100 Super Sabre Units of the Vietnam War (August)
COM 90 AV8-B Harrier II Units of Operation Desert Storm (October)
Aviation Elite Units
And last, but certainly not least comes the Aviation Elite Series, which has just reached it's own little milestone by clocking up 40 titles in the series.
AEU 39 57th Fighter Group - First in the Blue (March)
AEU 40 Jasta 18 - The Red Noses (March)
AEU 41 No 60 Sqn RFC/RAF (September)
Breaking News!
In some late, breaking news - and because I just know that one of you is going to ask the question, we have some information about the much-delayed Combat Aircraft 63 Aichi 99 Kanbaku 'Val' Units of World War 2.
This is a title that for years has been MIA - delayed for over 5 years, and now even possibly approaching the vapourware status of Duke Nukem Forever. But I have some great news.
The Aichi Val title is now set for a January 2012 publication date. Now I can't make any hard and fast promises - but we are pretty confident that we can stick to that date.
