Today is Remembrance Sunday in the UK, the nearest Sunday to Armistice Day, the anniversary marking the end of the First World War at 11am, 1918.
A poppy is worn to commemorate soldiers who have died in the war and are sold by The Royal British Legion for its Poppy Appeal, which supports all current and former British military personnel.
