T-60 vs Panzer II: Moscow 1941

The Soviet Union’s T-60 light tank was rushed into service in mid-1941, by which time Germany’s PzKpfw II was a combat veteran. Both types fought during the epic battle for Moscow in the closing weeks of 1941, despite being undergunned even at this early stage in the Great Patriotic War.

M3 Light Tank vs Type 97 Chi-Ha: Imphal 1944

Widely used by US and British forces from late 1941 onwards, the M3 clashed with Japan’s Type 97 Chi-Ha medium tank during the bloody battle of Imphal in 1944, as the Japanese sought to invade India from Burma.

Tiger II vs Sherman V: Normandy 1944

Making its debut during Operation Atlantic in July 1944, the mighty Tiger II clashed with Sherman V tanks of the Guards Armoured Division. This illustrated account pits the initial Tiger II variant with the Porsche turret against the Sherman V, aka the M4A4, at the height of the Normandy campaign.

SdKfz 234/2 Puma vs Daimler Mk II: North-West Europe 1944–45

Two of World War II’s finest reconnaissance vehicles, the Puma and Daimler armoured cars fought in the decisive campaigns of 1944–45. This absorbing study examines the two types at war on the challenging and varied battlefields of North West Europe, from the D-Day landings to VE-Day.

Comet vs Tiger I: Germany 1945

The A34 Comet made its debut in January 1945, seeing widespread use with British forces in North West Europe, notably against Tiger I heavy tanks in the weeks before VE-Day. This lively account examines the clashes between the two types during the final stages of World War II in the West.
