A BILLION SUNS: SECOND EDITION

Written by Mike Hutchinson

A revised edition of A Billion Suns, the game of intense starship combat, featuring new missions and modes of play.

A Billion Suns: Second Edition, the wargame of interstellar combat, puts you in command of fleets of powerful starships, from squadrons of agile fighters to hulking and powerful capital ships. This revised and updated edition contains improved, streamlined, and expanded gameplay as well as an updated campaign system, along with new solo rules.

A Billion Suns: Second Edition contains three distinct game types that escalate in game size and complexity, allowing players to pick what suits their playtime and skill level. The quick-start rules allow new or returning players to jump straight into the game and have a grasp of the core mechanics in a simplified environment. Limited Mode lets players use premade lists and battle it out – the classic wargaming experience. Finally, Unlimited Mode, the original A Billion Suns gameplay, sees them create their fleets and develop them over the course of the game.

This second edition also features three sets of Contracts: the Core Systems, Warzone, and Fringe. These Contracts determine what scenarios and missions players undertake, with objectives ranging from simple combat encounters to heists and smuggling. Along with premade ship classes, there are also revised and enhanced customisation options that give players even more choice in creating and upgrading their vessels to support their own distinctive styles of play.

This new, streamlined second edition provides all the rules for players to lead their fleet to victory and assert their dominance over the stars.

The cover for The Silver Bayonet: Venice: The Alchemist's Legacy, stylised as a weathered old black tome

THE SILVER BAYONET: VENICE:
THE ALCHEMIST'S LEGACY

Written by T. C. Stephen
Illustrated by Brainbug Design

Explore the mysteries of Venice and the forgotten art of alchemy with this supplement for The Silver Bayonet, featuring solo and competitive campaigns, new soldiers, and new enemies.

Though the years of Austrian occupation and repression have ended and Venice is back in French hands, fear still hangs heavy over the City of Masks. Rumours abound, telling of strange figures leaping across rooftops, of monsters out in the lagoon, of bodies bearing mysterious wounds pulled from the canals. The people whisper of the brutal Venetian Civic Guard, of the raids on bookshops and libraries, of the arrests of scientists and physicians, and wonder what they could possibly be seeking with such fervour… and whose agenda they serve.

This is the Venice into which you are sent, charged with navigating the occult underworld of the city to acquire grimoires and relics amassed by Venetian collectors over the centuries. Two campaigns, one solo and one competitive, will test your resolve – for despite the new recruits at your disposal and the alchemical arsenal that can be fielded, you must face the muskets of rival factions, the menace of terrifying creatures, and the machinations of a hidden power…

SIGNS AND WONDERS: A WARGAME:
“Being a compleat and most faithful recreation of the war between Kynge, Parleyment, and the Fae”

Written by Frederick Silburn-Slater

A skirmish wargame merging the battles of the English Civil War with the magic of British folklore.

When brother strove with brother, and Kynge with Parleyment; the dread Fae Queen, with all her court, on merrie progress went.
As the dead of Edgehill rotted, All Hallows’ Day did break; and forth there rode a wond’rous host, the Greene Weald in its wake.

Centuries ago, a desperate king pledged himself to the Fae Queen, swearing to unite the Mortal and Fae realms. As memory faded into history and then into myth, this oath was forgotten. Until All Hallows’ Eve, 1642, that is, when, into the chaos of a land at war, the Fae returned. Civil war still rages between the King and his Parliament, while the Fae Queen, in pursuit of her own inscrutable agenda, lends aid to Royalist and Roundhead alike. Already scarred by siege and battle, the land is further twisted by the Green Weald – a swathe of riotous nature that spreads as the realms grow closer – and rumours tell of the dead rallying to the banners of an ancient king…

Signs and Wonders is a skirmish wargame series of dark fantasy set during the English Civil War. Simple D10-based mechanics and a detailed campaign system follows small bands of soldiers through the trials of battle and the perils of the Green Weald. Balance faction loyalties, troop options, and a bestiary of Fae creatures to build unique forces and craft tales of terrible wonder.

THE SILVER BAYONET: THE BARBARY COAST:
A RISING TIDE

Written by T. C. Stephen
Illustrated by Brainbug Design

The legends of ancient Carthage and the menace of the Barbary Corsairs collide in an exciting new supplement for The Silver Bayonet.

Sailors know well to be on their guard when sailing near the Barbary states. Corsairs and pirates may be rife in these waters, but for all their menace, they are still just mortal. In hidden coves and beneath sand-swept ruins on these rocky shores lie the secrets of ancient civilisations – and those who protect them. While rumours of lost treasure may tempt the bold to brave these perils, the legend of an ancient curse that dooms those who seek its power keeps the wise away.

A Rising Tide explores the Barbary states on land and sea as Napoleon’s wars and the battle against the Harvestmen continue to rage. From port towns and isolated islands to the ruins of ancient Carthage, a competitive campaign and five solo scenarios present players with a host of new challenges, including powerful pirate fleets and creatures lost to myth, as they seek to uncover a plot whose roots reach deep into the past…
